BASE, ELECTRICITY & WATER
The spa will need to be positioned onto a flat level base e.g., patio slabs, concrete pad, compacted gravel, or decking. If using decking as the base for your spa, you should ensure it is constructed to a strength suitable for the weight of the hot tub when in use also that it cannot sink into the ground.
when you have chosen the spa model desired, you will be informed of the necessary electrical requirements. The spa will require either a 20amp, 32amp, 40amp or 50amp supply with its own dedicated RCD. The electrical installation will need to be carried out by a qualified electrician to ensure the installation is both safe and conforms with all of the relevant industry regulations, in advance of the spa being delivered.
An external isolator switch is required and should be positioned a minimum of 2 metres from the position of the spa. At least 5 meters of power cable should be supplied and connected into the isolator switch, ready to be hard wired to the spa, on the day of delivery.
A nearby water tap is required complete with a hose, that will reach the position of the spa, in order to fill the spa with water on the day of delivery.
HOW TO POSITION YOUR SPA
Prior to the delivery of your spa to site, you should make careful consideration of where your hot tub is to be sited. Some of the main points to consider are as follows:
Where possible, you want to site your spa in an area where you cannot be viewed from the road, neighbours’ windows, or gardens. If this is not possible, then you may wish to consider a gazebo type structure or even a parasol, which will help offer more privacy.
You should consider the view that you want to be able to look at from the spa. Where possible you should position your spa so that the main seats take advantage of any pleasant views or features in your garden.
You should site your spa in an area where it is easy to get to the spa, in all weathers. The long trek to the bottom of the garden, may not be so appealing in the middle of the winter
You should consider where the spa water is going to drain, when emptying and ensure where the spa is to be sited, will have access to a water tap and hose for refilling.
Once your spa has been delivered, installed, and commissioned a full handover will be carried out by our technician and training will be given on how to get the most from your spa and how to use your spa safely.
